It was supposed to be a normal afternoon.

Seven-year-old Ethan had just left the supermarket with his mother.

He was smiling, carrying his favorite ice cream, when something across the parking lot caught his attention.

A homeless woman sat alone on a piece of cardboard near the entrance.

Most people walked past without even looking at her.

But Ethan couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Suddenly, his ice cream slipped from his hand.

Before his mother could react, he started running.

“Ethan!” she shouted.

The boy stopped in front of the woman and stared at her face.

The woman slowly looked up.

Tears instantly filled Ethan’s eyes.

Then he whispered a word that made everyone nearby freeze.

“Mommy…”

The woman’s eyes widened.

Ethan’s mother rushed over and pulled him back.

“Honey, that’s not your mother.”

But the homeless woman couldn’t stop staring at the boy.

There was something familiar about him.

Then Ethan reached into his pocket and pulled out an old photograph he had found weeks earlier in his late grandmother’s belongings.

The photo showed a young woman holding a baby.

The homeless woman gasped.

The woman in the picture was her.

Years earlier, she had lost her son during a tragic family separation and spent years searching for him.

As tears streamed down her face, she recognized a small birthmark on Ethan’s wrist.

The same birthmark her missing son had.

The parking lot fell silent.

After years of heartbreak, a mother and son had finally found each other again. โค๏ธ
