Every Friday after school, a little boy walked into the bank and sat in the same chair near the entrance.

He never deposited money.

Never withdrew anything.

Never spoke to anyone.

He simply sat there and waited.

At first, the employees thought he was waiting for a parent.

But weeks turned into months.

And the boy kept coming back.

One Friday, the bank manager finally approached him.

“Hello, son. Who are you waiting for?”

The little boy reached into his backpack and pulled out an old photograph.

A smiling man in a military uniform.

“My dad,” he said.

The manager smiled gently.

“Does he work here?”

The boy shook his head.

“No.”

“Then why do you come here every week?”

The little boy looked down at the photograph.

Tears filled his eyes.

“Before he left, he promised he’d meet me here when he came home.”

The manager’s heart sank.

“When was that?”

“Three years ago.”

The bank fell silent.

The manager later learned that the boy’s father had been reported missing during military service overseas.

The family had never received answers.

But the boy never stopped believing.

Every Friday, he came back to keep the promise alive.

The story spread through the town.

People began leaving small notes of encouragement for him.

Then, months later, something incredible happened.

The military contacted the family.

New information had finally been discovered.

His father had survived and had spent years recovering from severe injuries in another country.

The day he returned home, he asked to be taken to one place first.

The bank.

As the doors opened, the little boy looked up from his chair.

For a moment, he couldn’t breathe.

Then he dropped the photograph and ran.

“Dad!”

Tears filled the room as father and son embraced.

The promise had taken years to keep.

But neither of them had given up hope. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ‘‡
