After extensive testing, doctors diagnosed Kevin with Powassan virus, a rare tick-borne disease that can cause serious brain inflammation. Despite intensive treatment, the infection progressed rapidly, causing severe brain damage. Kevin passed away only weeks after receiving the diagnosis.
